Homemade cookies with children – Let’s win them over!
There is nothing more fun than making homemade cookies with children. Children love to participate in the kitchen and if we also add that we are going to make fun cookies that surprise them, it is undoubtedly a guaranteed success.
The benefits of doing common activities between children and parents are innumerable. The most important would be, on the one hand, how positive it is for them to achieve an immediate achievement and, on the other hand, the bond that we strengthen with this shared achievement.
Let’s see some fun recipe that everyone will love:
Teddy bear cookies
These homemade cookies shaped like a bear and flavored with ginger and cinnamon will be one of your favorites.
- Ingredients (30 cookies):
For the light dough:
180 g of flour
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
50 g butter or margarine
100g white sugar
2 tablespoons of honey
1 beaten egg
For the dark dough:
180 g of flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
50 g butter or margarine
100 g of brown sugar
2 teaspoons of cane honey
1 beaten egg
You have to prepare the dough of two colors. In a bowl we sift the flour with the species of each mass and the bicarbonate of soda. Then we add the butter in pieces and the sugar and crumble it with our hands. Subsequently, we heat the honey a little for 20 seconds in the microwave at maximum power and add it to the dough together with the beaten egg. We stir well with a fork and knead with our hands until all the ingredients are integrated.
Once we have the two doughs separately, we spread them with a roller. With a cutter we cut large circles from the dark dough and small circles from the light dough. Two small circles of white mass for one large one of dark mass.
On a baking tray we sprinkle the flour and place the large circles. On each one of them, pressing lightly we will put a small circle that will act as a muzzle and two small half circles that will act as ears. With the help of a knife we make the marks of the nose.
Bake for 8-10 minutes at 190º or until the cookies are golden brown. Once ready, we take them out of the oven and immediately place two drops of chocolate as eyes. We let them cool on a rack.
If we want to put sticks on them, we will do it before baking by putting them under the cookies on the baking sheet and pressing lightly.
Chocolate Domino Cookies
To snack these cookies will be the most fun for them.
Ingredients (20 cookies):
100 g unsalted butter and margarine at room temperature
100g sugar
170 g of flour
30 g cocoa without powdered sugar VALOR
1 medium egg
1 level teaspoon vanilla extract
We put the butter at room temperature in a bowl. We beat well and gradually add the sugar until it is integrated. Then we add the egg and continue mixing until it is integrated. Sift the flour and cocoa with a fine strainer and add it little by little. Mix well until a dough forms. We make a ball and reserve.
On our work table we put a sheet of baking paper and put the ball on top. Smash slightly and spread with a roller until it is 1 cm thick. We put the dough in the fridge and let it rest for 1 hour.
We take the dough out of the fridge and put it on the oven tray with the baking paper. We form our domino cookies by removing the baking paper from the top. With the plating ring we form the squares of the dough and then with a skewer stick we gently draw the separation of the domino without cutting the cookie. We decorate the points with lacasitos.
Bake for 5 minutes at 180ºC with heat up and down. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Later we pass them to the rack outside the oven so that they cool completely.
There is no longer an excuse to have fun with the little ones in the house. Enjoy making homemade cookies! Yum yum
