Salou in Costa Dorada – Beaches and fun with adrenaline
This Spanish city brings together a large number of leisure and entertainment activities. We find in Salou on the Costa Dorada (Tarragona) as well as nine fantastic beaches, large theme and water parks, historical remains and a varied range of gastronomic leisure to enjoy with the family.
Theme parks Salou
The theme parks that are located in Salou, have become a tourist reference worldwide with thousands of visitors a year. Not only for the fun they host but for the combination of beach – fun they offer to the delight of tourists who choose this vacation destination.
We find the PortAventura theme parks, listed as the best theme park in Spain and perhaps one of the best in Europe. It encompasses two other theme parks, one is Ferrari Land (the only Ferrari theme park in Europe and the second in the world) and the other theme park is a water park called Caribe Aquatic Park.
In Port Aventura we also find hotels within the enclosure that are themed so that the stay is enjoyable for the family.
In addition, there is also another water park, Aquopolis, in case there is still more desire for dips on water slides.
Salou beaches
Salou is among the best beaches on the Costa Dorada. They are well-kept beaches with a strip of sand of almost one hundred meters. Levante beach is the largest and the most frequented. There are also the Poniente, Capellans or Llarga beaches, which have a wilder profile. And if you fancy more remote and charming beaches with wilder tones, you can visit the coves of Penya Tallada, Font, Vinya i Crancs.
Light sources
Children and adults alike love fountains full of light and sound. We can observe the light shows on the Paseo Jaume I, with one of the star attractions that is also free. This is the show with water, light and sound that lasts twenty minutes and that gathers hundreds of visitors around it every night and becomes a symbol of Salou.
In addition, on the Salou promenade we find various cybernetic sources. Almost a total of a thousand fountains and geysers including the Labyrinth Fountain.
