Family camping – great experiences

Spending the holidays, or a weekend in a tourist complex surrounded by nature, with green areas, swimming pools, playgrounds with the children, is surely a wonderful experience. Camping with the family encompasses many activities that cannot be done inside our homes.

The simple fact of spending the night in sleeping bags, using flashlights at night, having barbecues, going on day and night expeditions, are very basic activities of all that we have left to discover.

In this post we are going to describe what advantages and disadvantages we can find. Without a doubt and after reading this post, you will realize that the advantages are endless.

Advantages of going camping with the family

A small distinction should be made between camping with a caravan or in a tent. The difference is obvious, since the caravan is a small house with wheels and camping is sleeping inside a tent outdoors.

Advantages are many and varied. Although it depends a lot on the campsite you decide to go to, the facilities usually have sports courts and most with swimming pools. In summer they may have entertainers for children and for adults.

There are some campsites that look like resorts because they have many more services, such as a gym, hairdresser, restaurants, but we are going to focus not on what the campsite has but on what we can do.

The biggest advantage is the contact with nature, especially if it is in the mountains, on the beach or in a forest. Another advantage is the tranquility and feeling of freedom.

Carrying out camping with the family creates a family bond, because “ practically everything that has to be done is shared. Here everyone makes meals together, group activities

For children, the biggest advantage is their sense of adventure, they are the adventurers of that vacation. They can explore, safely play cars, run, scream, and dress as comfortable as they are.

In addition, as it is an enclosure with more campers, there will be more children and the children will make friends in an environment very different from what the city is. They will share with their friends and with their families a lot of experiences both day and night.

Being an enclosed area, the campsite offers some security and tranquility for parents, when it comes to letting children be more at their leisure, feeling more independent.

Drawbacks

As for the drawbacks, it is evident that the lack of amenities, especially if you stay in tents, is noticeable as the days go by. You have to sleep on mattresses on the floor, sometimes it gets cold, when the sun rises and it is light they wake you up very early, you have to carry a lot of material … to tell you some of the cons.
