Dance contest with children at home – Who gives more?

During the holidays, there are many moments that we can spend with our children doing activities with them. On this occasion, we are going to propose a dance contest that you can do with your children but with different characteristics. Let’s see which one you like the most!

Dance competitions

Even if some of the children are shy, once we start this kind of contest, it will be a success for sure. Let’s first choose music and songs that they know. Once we have the repertoire, let’s adapt an area of the house with enough space to start the dance contest. It can be alone, in pairs or in a group. Let’s take some examples:

  • I’ll play you a song and you have to dance just moving your legs, until the dance song ends.
  • Another proposition could be that you have to start dancing and they have to imitate you. Try not to be too difficult so that they can follow you well. Then it can be the other way around, having to be the one to imitate what your son or daughter does. Laughter will be assured.
  • A classic that never fails, are the statues. They will have to dance and when the music stops they have to stay like statues in whatever position. To do this, you will handle the audio and pause the music when you create.
  • Children love to imitate animals, that is why you will propose that each one be an animal and they have to dance imitating the way that animal moves.
  • Also another way, is to see who performs the most original dance. To carry out this modality, it is valid if they want to use homemade costumes or certain music.

The dance contest prizes

Also for the prizes, you can organize something fun. Whoever wins the dance contest will choose dinner that night and everyone will eat the same dinner. In addition, the winner will get rid of helping to clear the table that day. This for example could be one of the prizes.

The prizes can be very different, and it is better that they are not material prizes, but prizes that make them smile.
